It seems an appropriate time to share how the tone is set for our forthcoming game, as Spike has announced that they’ll bestow their second-ever Gamer God Award upon Blizzard Entertainment’s three founders, Mike Morhaime, Allen Adham, and Frank Pearce.

Well, frist i must say HA, KNEW THE BLACK SOULS STONE WAS NOT OPENING! Sorry, had to do that. Anyway, this video is just pain awesome. Of course that could be said of any opening that involves a clashes of Angles and Demons. Also, Cain was hit by a meteor, throw the floor, and somehow lives....he is one tough old man(unless some funny business is at work >.>). Can not wait for this to come out.

One thing I noticed is that Diablo in the video is not a fem-Diablo. It is Diablo as he was in previous games. Now, I don't think that this says anything about whether or not there is a Leah Diablo relationship since it is in a dream. But I thought I should point that out.

Haha, indeed, he's damn tough. Some guy on Youtube even commented that Cain had 95% fire resistence and fire absorb so he wouldn't die to the meteor. Haha, I just couldn't help laughing when I was reading this. It's so funny

I agree with you kingbob Blizzard is so good at teasing us with great cinematics that its turning out to be very cruel.

I mean BAM! An epic battle scene between the Angelic and Demonic armies of Heaven and Hell being smack hard directly in front of my face. My imagination went wild then its over in just seconds. Me wants more.

When the angels dove down from the high heavens. I shat myself.

I examined the cinematic at a closer look and I noticed two things.

1) Deckard dropped his 'book' after the Fallen Star crashed into the cathedral. You'll notice this when Leah falls to the floor and the book lands near her.

2) The Fallen Star crashed directly through the angelic window. The angel imprinted on the window look to be Imperius. It can't be coincidence that the Fallen Star hit directly on the window... I'm not really sure what to make of this though.


The battle sequence between the angels and demons, with the slow motion action, gritty quality and battle music reminds me of the movie 300.

You might be reading into this a bit too much. The part where Cain book falls may not mean much other than his book falling(who know, it might be the same book you take a peak at in game). No info to really connect it to yet. As for the fallen star smashing through the window. I am not sure this has much meaning either, although Roland did say something about the star possibly being Imperius(I think that was the one, was a while since I read his lore write up). Still i do not think there is much of anything in this video to speculate on. Just enjoy it .

Here's the third thing I found that I forgot to mention...

3) Leah is magician.


As you can see, there is nothing but books surrounding Deckard Cain at his table. Notice the red circle?...


Well now, all of a sudden, Leah makes a blanket appear into thin air to warm her uncle.

She has Illusion spells level 95.

P.S. how com I feel like diablo has better female figure than sc2....

She may be weak to magicka if she grabbed the Apprentice stone. Keep that in mind when fighting the demons of hell =)
