Plain and simple: PC Gamer magazine realeased an small article on Diablo 3 and the work behind it put in by Blizzard. Along with the article came a few screenshots, some in which contained Act 3. This is the first time Act 3 has been officially revealed to the public.

Wow, looks awesome. The monsters look really good. But i cant really make out whats going on in the last 2 screenshots. And I cant tell anything from the tileset. But I did find this on youtube.

My thoughts on the video

@Editor - I saw those last week and debated if I should post leaked spoilers of the bosses... Really interesting to see some of them.

Yeah, looks like we are fighting at the crater in act 3. Just leaves act four, still not sure although might be heaven based on the act loading screens. Would like to hear Roland's input.

@Editor Nice find, but I am personally going to pass. Not one for leaked spoilers.
Since this is blizzard I must wonder. When they said beta by September did they really mean November?

I really like that D3 incorporates large monsters compared to your character. D1 & D2 didn't really have that. Even final act bosses weren't huge compared to the character or summoned stuff.

Anyone notice in shot #2 that the big guy getting ready to attack the Demon Hunter has a club with two full-size swords pushed through it? And is that a fallen Templar merc I see in the middle of the pack of monsters?

And in shot #3, there is a demon falling off the precipice in the lower left side?

Very cool looking. I'll definitely be playing Torchlight 2 first, but plan on getting this down the road.
Arggh, I luv me hammer! Clank! Clang!

True but what about the Cows in the Secret Cow level? Those things were huge.

That demon is a Fallen, one of them buff ones. Pretty sic weapon design.

I've noticed in Beta that cliffs and terrain have a huge role in animation death. If you hit your enemies off cliffs they fall down out of view. If enemies get slain and fall in water, there is a large splash.

Lol, yeah, but I will mention that a Werebear is just as large. Just sayin'.

So, does this mean you can use terrain to your advantage? For example, use some form of knockback to blast a guy off the edge, even though the attack alone wasn't enough to kill him?

No, only corpse are sent flying off ledges. Although you can use terrain to your advantage at times. As a monk I was able to use Deadly reach to damage enemies on the floor below me, and you can leap up a floor away form enemies as barb. Although I still find it simple to just kill them straight up so far.
