Happy new year as well

Also, unless one of the terran guys posts, I'm out of fillers for now. Only thing I could post is purely unrelated nonsense from the Pirates... And then I'd actually have to come up with something funny...

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a good solstice season and is ready for the end of the world as we know it!

In the mean time, let's get this thing going again. I am arbitrarily changing speed to 3d/s until such time as more players join us. Armies currently in transit may use the new travel time if it suits them. Have fun!

I've been waiting around to see if anyone posts, and I'm reasonably sure that Wind and Doc are still around as well, but none of us are willing to push this along if no one is interested in playing.

Honestly, the three of us were trying to keep this project floating in remembrance of the awesome time we had in the Tremors of War game, but so far we haven't been able to duplicate the level of awesomeness we hit there. I'm reasonable certain it's a matter of momentum. Back then, the armory was much more active, and it was easier to get a respectable level of activity. We got to a point where there were about eight of us that kept posting and writing a pretty awesome and epic tale, even after the GM had all but abandoned the project and was only around to mess up everyone's day when he dropped in. But that was then. We've been trying to reinvent that, with some better rules and a more intimate scale, but it hasn't really happened yet. The first time was an execution fail. This time, it was a momentum failure. We had a lot of people express interest that never posted. We had a lot of people make characters and never play them. Myself, Wind and Doc made a nice big play ground for y'all to muck around in, and you never really got mucking. We were even preparing to drop a pretty nice expansion on you, because we felt our little play area was just a tad too small. I know myself and Doc both had some awesome villainy planned, and it would be an insult to Wind's intellect to suggest that he didn't as well (merely a compliment to his discretion that I didn't know about it yet).

I guess what I'm trying to say is this: If anyone is interested in playing in the little world that was built here, I'm still around. But I'm not willing to put on a circus show to an empty room, and I don't think I speak for just myself in that. If you are interested in this game and want to play it, then play it. The only thing a forum RPG really needs is a forum and two or more interested posters. But if it is really the consensus that this thing gets shut down, that's alright with me too. It would eliminate the only reason I have left to visit this forum until the HotS hype starts up.

Please respond if you are interested in continuing this, or think it should be dismantled. It's not dead yet, merely in torpor.

As Orloth said, I'm still here. I've got more than enough time to write up a few posts for this, and I enjoy writing the Pirates (I like the others as well, but I find the Pirates to be the most fun)

I and Wind have a nice mission planned, but we need a questionably legal terran or protoss player (Seeing as its relatively important to the story, we'll do it without players if needed.), and I've already mentioned the available missions in my ICs if anyone wants to take one of them, or if you have your own ideas PM me. You don't necessarily have to be terran for some of the missions.

And yeah, I agree with Orloth, what this RP is missing is momentum >.> If people started posting, I'm sure it would keep going. I think I'm finally gonna make that post on mapster to see whether anyone from there wants to join.

I've been monitoring this thread since squiggly last posted. thought you guys just left or something

Was waiting for someone to give the "go" signal cause it seems as if this is frozen in time.

on topic: Yes I would be willing to continue this. And I'm pretty sure Zeroth is "legal"

edit: wow, this is my 799 post

Why do you need the 'go' signal?

.../checks stuff/...

Oh, travel time. The travel time rules are intended to keep the game fair. As a general rule, any rule that does not keep the game fair, fun and active may be broken at my or a Warden's disgression. The solution there would be to ASK.

Yes. Your travel time may be waved if you wish to post.

Depends on who you ask. To the Imperium, Zeroth is a dangerous criminal who must be brought to justice. Also, you may have interpreted 'legal' wrongly ^^. Unofficial might be a better word.

I mean that by the fact that I joined 2 years before you I really am a lurker

Oh and Zeroth being legal, I'm pretty sure it stated that the wandering tribes posts no threat to the imperium and are therefore left alone. So would I be neutral?

I'm guessing you would.

With "questionably legal" I meant... Well, does activities of questionable legality (In this case from the point of view of the Imperium and Coalition), for Terrans that would mean anyone affiliated with the Pirates or people that are just playing a mercenary (i.e. not a official Coalition commander)

If I remember right, wandering tribes are neutral, but like to keep out of other people's business. I don't know what kind of politics are going on there and whether they'd get mad if you helped with the "questionably legal" mission (Which, by the way, is not questionable at all. It is, in the eyes of the Imperium, way more than illegal), as it will have a significant impact on protoss politics I believe (And a relatively smaller impact on terran politics)

Just checked the IC thread... Theres a post where I tell Aduck to come to Dras Lana in the SoA, that is the job I'm talking about I'm guessing that Wind won't have a problem with a protoss taking the place, you two will just have to figure out a way to make it a bit more logical that you are contacted.
