Daedric quests like that often make you choose between items, and I think you can only have one or the other for that one. Although, the ring does nothing for you if you're not already a werewolf. I'm currently play an orc-warrior level 30. The first thing I did was max out my smithing and get my enchanting to 80, for the enchantment strength perks. Then I smithed and enchanted a complete set of Daedric armor with a Daedric Greatsword. Contrary to popular belief, Daedric armor is stronger than Dragon. My Helm adds 57 magicka for healing, and my chestplate gives 57 to health. Everything else (that's four items) increases my two handed-damage by 37% per item. My Greatsword deals 201 damage a hit, and I still haven't got the final two-handed damage perk. I've also enchanted it to absorb 18 health a hit, so I rarely need to slow down to heal. I just fought my first dragon on this character, and I two-shotted it. I've now turned the difficulty up all the way, and can still one or two shot everything. |

Daedric armor also looks awesome(think part so it glow red in the dark). Dragon armor is still the best for light as far as I can tell. The heavy armor is still easier to get and has a lower weight value. You should have everything needed to make a few dragon armors by the time you get the skill up, but both ebony and daedric hearts are in short supply(I would kill for my oblivion heart stash at this point XD).
As far as the most important aspect of the armor, the look, here are pics of both sets. ![]() ![]() the dragon plate helm seems to stand out a bit more than it should.

Heh, started my own warrior (Redguard, axe+shield) as well, just passed 80 smithing and did the Dawnstar Museum quest, so I have 6 hearts (4 from the quest, bought one and stole the other from the Vigilants of Stendarr). No ebony thouggh
Am at level 21 atm.Anyone tried playing with a follower? I've just grabbed Lydia as soon as I could and played with her. Makes exploring dwarven dungeons with smithing in mind so much easier... I chuck a ton of the dwarven stuff into her inventory, and when Im back at Whiterun I can make ~70 bars. She does have the tendency to get lost though... Still, I find it pretty fun to play with her. She distracts some enemies usually, or fires arrows at them, or I can just use block to tank while she kills people. And then one of those helicopter traps shows up and she gets stuck on the staircase because of it for 10 minutes. lol. Still, I find it fun to play with a follower, and not only cause I can carry more loot. |

@Roland- there seems to be a bug where you can get both... apparently you complete everything with the werewolf, killing the hunters, then kill the werewolf. you then go outside, talk to that dude, he takes care of the ring, then go back inside and talk with the guy there (who will show up when you kill the werewolf, so you have to go past him.)

Meh, smithed and ehcanted items tend to be way better than Daedric rewards in the end. I only collect them for fun. Only one I found useful was the ring of Namira but took it off 'cause the constant prompts to feed on corpses when trying to loot them got annoying.
I didn't get all of the possible rewards though. Always went for the quest/dialog options that agreed with the daedric prince in question. And still a few I haven't done. As for daedric hearts... 17 currently and already used 3 ****es. EDIT: @Roland: have you over improved you greatsword yet? If not, I suggest you do as it can get the damage up a lot more. Enchant some bad armor, gauntlets, necklace and ring with fortify smithing (preferably with a grand soul gem) and purchase a blacksmith's elixir (or some worse blacksmith's potion). Drink the potion and the grindstone and improve the greatsword. Should do a lot more damage if you haven't already done it. |

Does cannibalizing restore you health, or is it just for fun? Also, Azura's star is extremely useful if you plan to do enchanting or use magic items that need recharging. I got my Daedra hearts from doing the Dawnstar Museum quest. The daedra you fight it in respawn after a few days as well. |

It increases your health and health regen for 2 minutes. Can't give you exact numbers right now. Also, read my edit above. |

I've been meaning to look into that, but I never got around to it. With the difficulty all the way up I still one or two shot everything, and haven't come close to dieing, getting even stronger just seems kind of redundant now. I started a rogue style Khajit. I'm focusing on stealth with dual-wielding and a bow as my secondary. I think I might try going vampire too. The stealth buffs and powers would be handy. Also a cannibal. I'm gonna be a cat-cannibal-vampire-assassin-thief. |

has anyone gone straight up tank god machine of doom yet? heavy armor, two handed, the whole deal?

My frist character was two-handed, heavy armor user. Things just died, although if you really want to tank go with a shield. I might try a Paladin, or at least knight type build. By this I mean: Heavy armor, one-haned weapon(Sword and mace), shield, speech, crafting, restoration magic. Imperial would be the best race, decent one handed weapon, high speech, high res. magic, and starting power is useful(partly for avoiding fights but also when you are swarmed and need to get out or see about pick off one). Combat skills main focus, with crafting after that, followed by what every else I can fit in.
Not sure when I would get around to this so if anyone else has tried please being up. Also planing to try on either the hardest, or second hardest to test it(normal is just to easy to test a build).

Nord with 2 handed sword and heavy armor, only like level 12 right now but I thrash the crap out of people lol. Getting a critical hit kill-animation when they're at full health is very satsifying. Also noticed that the default Nord character looks somewhat like Sean Bean's portrayal of Boromir in LotR but it might just be the hair heh.

anyone else think the dragonscale armor looks ugly?

What?! No! That's Dragonplate armor. Dragonscale armor is smexy.
I agree though. Dragonplate armor is ugly as sin and doesn't even make up for it with better stats than Daedric armor. |
