Suggestions on a newer mod?

So, are you actually going to get another mod and community manager? My campaign manager wants to know. He's tired of posting banners on random forums to try to win the popular vote.
Isn't campaigning on other forums for votes the same campaigning in other countries for a US election? Who is your campaign manager, Dork?

As I voiced before, I don't think it should be known who the moderators are. They aren't technically here for public relations. They volunteer at their own time to do a service for the website. They aren't looking for recognition so why is it needed that everyone knows who they are? Well, points for having known mods is that we do want some form of leadership outside of Gears and that can't happen if some staff members are anonymous. Also, if someone wants a further explanation as to why their thread was closed and so forth, there isn't really anyone to contact.

Both of these issues can be solved by....having more/decent/dedicated community managers! The spiritual leadership they provide is self explanatory, but they can also relay information between moderators and members and be made known that they should be the ones to be contacted. Sure, we are adding a middle man in the process, but it gives CM a tangible job that requires dedication to the armory (we do want the best of the best, right?).

Here, mods can work without the stress in that they are publicly judged and that they wont be directly targeted in attacks by disgruntled members. These are the extremes of examples compared to the relatively slow and nondisruptive times of todays, but its nice to have a system.

Of course, who gets to police the moderators if we don't know who has been rampaging and abusing their powers? Or just suck in general? I don't know. Gears? The CMs?

Agreed, however I'd change more CMs to having CMs, since we don't have any atm. GarmGarf is listed as one but he hasn't been active for years.

I was joking =/ But for the sake of argument didn't Obama campaign in Europe and then win the election?

The possible addition to the staff is still being debated. There's been no decision yet.
