Diablo 3 Armory - Unofficial Diablo 3 Fansite

For the past few months this community has spiraled into garbage. Everyone flames, every thread is derailed, everyone argues, and it's quite annoying, especially for me and the mods to deal with. I have been more than lenient with everyone here, and you all know that. I have not been around much lately, simply because I am in the midst of moving and have been working heavy overtime (12 hour days, etc), and to come back to this garbage is not enjoyable.

I built this site as a hobby and it turned into an awesome community. It now has destroyed itself as every user has to one up someone else and prove a point. Why is everyone in-capable of having a decent conversation, or respecting one another? This is a site about Starcraft 2 and Blizzard related titles, nothing more. I am sure you can find some hole in the internet to throw your garbage into instead.

If you can't find anything to talk about, then don't. If you find a post annoying, then downvote it. If you find a post offensive, then report it. If a user is trolling or flaming, report them. If you have a SC2 question, then post it, and expect thoughtful replies. If you have nothing to contribute, then dont break the rules and ask for a ban just to be funny; you're extremely childish and inconsiderate, wasting my time and others. I gave the community all the tools needed to moderate itself, yet you misuse it.

I do not want to shut down this community, as a ton of great friendships have formed because of it. I have met a ton of cool people and I would like that to keep happening. But if this continues, I will shut it down. This site doesn't cost me anything except a little upkeep and bug fixing. I leave it running for you guys in hopes that everyone will get along and play some Starcraft 2, or Diablo 3, or any other game. Here's to hoping.

I am speechless, thank you Gearvosh we need to re-build the Armory to having a point and not just being a hate site. I am glad you posted this since the re-building may mean members stop the crap or get banned. Whatever happens I know the mods will do a good job and I wish you the best of luck with handling present and futute problems. But the community as a whole needs to realise that the recent garbage needs to stop.

hm? I'm amazed, actually, and proud that this is has been clearly made. Basically a small Muta told me that a huge, unnecessary flame war has been occured, over something that didn't even need to be broken out, and has been occurred anyhow, from basic human Testosterone or immaturity at its finest level. ( I WILL NOT point fingers, but you people know who you are, and I'm dissapointed , but you probably don't even care if the entire armory is dissapointed).

I for one, agree with Gears, simple as that.

And now I see that my tread is no longer there and then this... Am just connecting dots here I might be missing information but all I can say about this is that this sucks but after how it was going when I went to sleep I must say I kind of saw this coming.
Too bad I didn't get to read whoever replied to my third post. I saw some people there that were really worth talking to like roland and effie

I couldn't agree more, there's been way too much needless flaming/trolling lately. I feel like some people are almost afraid to post anything concerning balance because they're afraid of being flamed. I really hope we can bring the armory back to the once glorious site it can still be!

Heres to hoping that when HoTs comes out the armory will return to it's former seat of glory among the starcraft fansites.

There are definatly people worth talking to here. I like to think I am one of them, but I know that there are others.

The problem with this and every community is that the bad people get all the attention. There are rarely any forums where we just shout out to good people. Maybe we should do that more often.

See, that thread was wrong, because we were just commpeeting to get on that list, or agruing who was the best.

What I am saying is that we should just say "Ok Stebo88, you have been good for the comunity. Oh, we like Uberlisks work." We should just compliment eachother more in general. And when we are in a debate on strategy, rather than saying "No you are wrong, here is how it goes..." we should say stuff like "that is an interesting point, but have you considered this..."

I think what it comes down to is that we need to change our attitudes, and be more willing to accept different ideas.

I agree whit what aduck sayd... I mean some of you guys might not like the vibe of friendship and fun because of the MLP meme atm but get over it in the end you cannot build around hate or trolling (well you can... 4chan).
Now I hate to bring this up now but I'm asking a mod please noone else to answer this... Are meme images more especificly MLP related ones something I shoulf not be posting? Even on spoiler tabs?.
