Diablo 3 Armory - Unofficial Diablo 3 Fansite

Hello SC2Armory.com community. I envisioned this thread to be sort of a list where you can cast your suggestions for site improvements.

Member can post their suggestions in this thread and every member can up-vote if they like the suggestion or down-vote if they dislike the suggestion. If you are uncertain what to think about a certain suggestion I recommend that you simply skip over voting.

Now for this idea to work I need your cooperation. We need to set some base rules for you to follow.

1. Post only one suggestion in your post!
(You can add a explanation to explain why you want something changed, but try to keep it brief)

2. Do not post unless you are making a suggestion (For visual clarity.)

3. Do not post anything in your posts besides your suggestions
(If you want to communicate with one another there is Private Messages - PM)

3. Double posting isn't enabled and if you want to make multiple suggestions please be patient and prioritize your suggestions

4. Gears is a very busy guy and might not have time to work on suggestions even if they prove to be popular. Keep this in mind and don't pester him =P

Also I urge you to look at peoples suggestions and rate them. =)

This will give Gears a list of things that the community would like him to work on and communicate to him what potentially should be his priorities since he will see which suggestions gathered the most support. It is not meant to be an absolute list. More like a for of feedback for our dear admin.

YES PLEASE. FIRST PRIORITY.

This is also my suggestion. I don't care about anything else (other than my protoss guide being stickied) please do this ASAP!!

Suggestion:

A profile can have a 'upload replay' section so members can have quick and easy access to showing off their replays. e.g. "Check out some of my replays; just click on my profile!". I realize this may take up a lot of bandwidth for the site, so maybe limit a profile to having only 3-5 replays uploaded at once. This can also be something you must purchase at the Armory store.

I suggest we ban people that constantly complain about a system that was implemented by the administrator, systems that are in proper working order.

Systems can always be improved, even if they are in "proper working order." Trib's point is valid (although subjective), and possibly an improved rating history/post history feature could help admins to deal with users that misuse the comment rating feature.

My suggestion is to give stebo admin powers, because i think hes earned them.

@trib: i just dont think its a good idea/ i think its pointless, and your edit probably got more downvotes than your actual idea.

@Stebo - Not possible since PHP doesn't parse replay files too well. AKA, I cant extract game data from replay files.

Oh yeah, make standings private again (warned, flamer, troll, etc). How the hell was that ever a good idea in the first place? What good has ever come from giving trolls attention?

Yes, but it is small, and I forget to check. It works just fine, but I never look up there, and I bet some people have the same problem.

Also, how are you quoting me when my post comes after yours? Did you just edit yours to answer mine?

First of all, bans should be slightly more difficult to break... Banning people while they can return to full access after few minutes is waste of time...



SUGGESTION:
Shoutbox. It could replace to-long-to-read "simple q - simple a" thread in many cases. To avoid spam add messages/hour limit and give it access to old (500+ posts or it's equivalent in Gas and Minerals) members only.
