Posting Guidelines:
1.) Character Creation and out of character comments and discussion should go in this thread.
2.) All posts in this thread should be in Narrative format, or in the format of a story. This should be enforced through liberal use of the little minus sign button.
3.) Every post happens directly after the one before it. There should be no time skipping or backtracking without GM approval. This also means that posts should tell a coherent story and should not contradict a previous post.
4.) Please include in your posts a Summary of Actions, as it is sometimes difficult, or not within narrative bounds to state clearly all of what you are doing.
5.) All posts that involve a conflict between players, or even between a player and an NPC, should be discussed outside of this thread before a post is made. This is to avoid simple skirmishes being longer then extensive travels, and heated debates allowing a character to travel across the map. Some of this is inevitable, but please try to keep it to a minimum.
6.) All combat between armies should follow the rules of the Starcraft 2 game. Any battle where resources are available should play out as a melee game with those exceptions provided by your deployment score, and army technology. When resources are not available, players may choose 200 supply of units to be 'active' but can not receive reinforcements for that fight.
7.) Any editing to your posts, other then grammar and spelling changes, should be accompanied by a notification in the Brainstorming thread. This is so that those who have already read your post know to go back and reread.
The setting: The Koprulu Sector. Late 2503.
Travel Time is 5d/s where S is the speed of your ship per square and D is the distance traveled. Distance should be counted as 1.5 for each diagonal move. The result should always be rounded up. For instance, if my ship has a speed of 4 and I wanted to travel from the Sara System to Agria (4 squares) (5(4)/(4)) It would take me 5 posts from when I say that I'm leaving to when I could post my arrival.
I reserve the right to extend or speed up travel time as I wish for any reason I deem necessary.
Sajuuk Bentus: Uses a souped-up mercenary viking (Hel's Angel)
Mercenary Honorable: He either raids places for plunder or gets hired out as a mercenary. Once you have a contract with Sajuuk, he will honor it until it is about to kill him. He will not accept another propsal even if it is worth more until the first contract is done, or he has to flee for his life. He will not backstab, even when fleeing, unless it is the ONLY way to survive. As a result, he has one of highest reputations among mercenaries, even if he isn't the best.
Psychic Shield ~ 50 energy, 10 second duration
Sajuuk can protect himself with a 300 point shield of psychic energy for a brief period of time.
Ship: The Super Dreadnuaght Nubaal:
The Nubaal is not that much better than a regular battlecruiser in combat, reliying on high speed and manuverability to stay out of combat. It also speciallizes in deploying bases, feilding a decent sized terran bio base. If the Nubaal is threated during a base operation, Sajuuk may flee with his viking to the ship, abandoing the ground forces. As a mercenary ship, the Nubaal has very little research capacity, and Sajuuk generally has to buy or steal upgrades.

According to Maga:
Quote by Lunaraia
Maga was born on the dark world of Xarinberg, where the Dark Voice used the power black sun that the planet orbited, to imbue Maga with life draining powers, and gave him training on how to control the void. the result of this training and enhancement allowed Maga to grow powerful beyond the normal limits of his bretheren.
Not only that but he became larger then the Hybrid Destroyers, so large that an Ultralisk only reached him to his shoulders, if it was a big one, on top of that Maga was faster and stronger then most Hybrids making him a terror on the battlefield.
The Dark Voice however, wanted only the strongest of Hybrids and so all the Hybrids spawned on that world was set to kill their bretheren with only the victor granted passage of the world.
The fighting lasted for months, the thousands of Hybrids that the Dark Voice had spawned on the blasted hellscape of a world started to dwindle, until only Maga remained.
Maga had become more cunning and powerful then even the dark Voice could immagine, however, feeling no loyalty to the Dark Voice he immediatley set off to find a part of the galaxy to make his own, he only made one stop before setting out, he met up with his older sibling Maar, who had corrupted a trio of Preservers and their guardians.
In return for being thought how to corrupt the minds of others to do his bidding Maga bestowed upon Maar a fragment of the knowledge on how to drain the essense of other creatures, and while it was only a cheap immitation of Magas own powers it was enough for Maar to sustain himself on the life force of others should he want to.
After this they parted, but not on god terms, for Maga used his new found knowledge to take some of Maars own slaves with him, Maar became furious when he learned of this and set out after his younger sibling, they faced off in an ancient chamber inside a ruin where a Mothership had been stored away for future generations, Maar had tried to make his slaves reveal it's location for months, Maga had made them do it within an hour.
This was more then Maars pride could allow, and it came to blows.
While Maar was the oldest, Maga was by far the most powerful of the two, and he brutally tore Maars life force away from him, revealing that he had witheld much knowledge from his older sibling.
Maga took the Mothership and left Maar mortally wounded by wounds that would never heal, in a last ditch effort to save himself Maar used the knowledge he had been given and hoped that Maga had thought him enough.
It worked in a sense, by draining the preservers Maar could sustain himself, but only temporarily, Maga had taken to much of Maars own life force, and now what little remained was to damaged to recover, Maar had become as much a prisoner of the Preservers as the Preservers a prisoner of him.
However, most of this is unsubstantiated and may or may not be true.

While the grand majority of Confederate Armed Forces was assimilated into the Dominion Armed Forces after the fall of the Confederacy, Confederate ghosts remained fiercly loyal to the Confederacy.
Seen as a threat to the Dominion, Confederate ghosts were hunted down one by one and imprisoned in max secuirty prisons such as New Folsom. Because of their rarity, the imprisoned ghosts were deemed too valuable to terminate. Instead, they were scheduled for brainwashing and integration into the Dominion's own Ghost Program.
However, because brainwashing is still a relatively new technology, its effects on neurally inhibited individuals (such as Confederate ghost operatives) are still unknown and deemed potentially dangerous.
This lack of knowledge resulted in the NIOR (Neurally Inhibited Operative Reintegration) experiment; eight former Confederate ghosts were brainwashed, given positions of limited power and began serving the Dominion. The experiment's aims are the following:
1. To see if brainwashed Confederate ghosts retain their loyalty to the Confederacy.
2. To see if neurally inhibited personnel are "damaged" by brainwashing.
3. To see how well ghosts handle their assigned positions of power.
Due to recent events involving the defection of ghosts (such as Sarah Kerrigan's infestation and the emergence of rogue Spectres), NIOR test subjects have been placed under close watch and outfitted with "death implants": neural implants designed to kill ghosts who show signs of disobedience and revolt.
~Personal Background~
Adam Flint was discovered by Confederacy agents relatively late (12 years of age). He was discovered when one of his school teachers informed the local police force of his mind reading ability (which she had been subjected to).
Adam was taken by the police force, handed over to Ghost Program psi-scouts, tested and relocated to the Tarsonis Ghost Academy where he trained for the next six years.
Although he sucessfully completed all parts of his training and was deemed decent in all areas of psionics, he excelled in telepathy and was used primarily as a spy and interrogator.
The years he spent in Confederate service helped hone and perfect his skills as well as develop a new personality loyal only to the Confederacy. He was captured by the Dominion a month after the fall of Tarsonis. When the NIOR experiment was founded, he was deemed one of the best test subjects and subsequently brainwashed and given command of a small Dominion force. Despite this freedom, he has not been allowed to know his name or history.
Gorgen was a new breed of roach who was near the Overmind when it died. The resulting energy from the explosion of Tassadar's flagship caused gorgen to gain sentience. He was at first seized by a desire to destory everthing, but over the last years has gained more cunning, and is developing his own personalility. This personalilty still revolves around destroying everthing, but gorgen is becoming more of an individual. He is still on Auir, hunting for the last protoss survivors. As time has passed, he has become more cruel and depraved, and now enjoys torturing helpless people. He is capable of speech, but almost never uses it.
Flagship: Hell's Wrath
The Hell's Wrath was once a protoss Carrier. Gorgen rebuilt it from its destoyed shell. Now it is completly infested and barly retains it's old carrier shape. Gorgen is able to control the weapons and and doors with his mind, no one else can. Instead of launching Interceptors, in launches Scourges.
Alex Tanosof grew up as a citizen on Umoja. He was a born leader, always organizing school events, he was very inspirational. When he was age 10, his Mother and Sister moved away to the planet of Tarsonis leaving him in the care of his Father and Grandparents. At age 14, he learned of the zerg invasion on Tarsonis and the death of his Mother and Sister. In a spite of rage, he unleashed a massive psionic explosion killing everyone and leveling all structures in a 6 block radius, killing his grandparents and Father. Overcome with grief, he vowed revenge on the zerg scum for killing his mother and sister and, indirectly causing the death of his grandparents and father.
He was quickly found and given the chance to enroll in the Umoja physic program. The Umoja physic program was a counter to the Dominion Ghost program but was having a lack of high PSI rated students. Alex gratefully accepted as this was his chance for revenge. He was found to have a PSI rating of 8, the highest ever recorded on Umoja. He took around 4 years to advance through all his training. As he graduated, his first mission was to lead a group of ghost operatives to a secret Dominion ship yard where he was to locate and learn about a new Dominion vessel.
On his way there, Alex had to hack into the ship yards computer system to locate the ship. As soon as he found the location of the new vessel, several Dominion marines appeared and surrounded him. He soon found out that the leader of the group was one of Mensk's men. He quickly killed them all with swift psionic blows that ripped their minds apart. When he ripped apart the leader's mind, he learned a chilling secrete, Mensk led the zerg to Tarsonis.
With this new found information, Alex, then had a new goal surface, to reduce the Dominion to ash and to make Mensk pay for what he did. He quickly decided that anyone helping the Dominion was an enemy, that sadly meant Umoja. Even though they were not in a alliance with the Dominion, they still traded with them, in which helped the Dominion. He quickly convinced the rest of his small assualt force to band together with him to take down the Dominion at all costs.
Alex and his new group, quickly hatched a plan, they would capture one of the new vessels, and use it to destroy the other ones. His plan worked as in the end, his ship was the only remaining one and with the ship yard destroyed, it meant that no more of these ships would ever be produced. Alex's first thought was to join with Raynor's Raiders but quickly decided against that because, Raynor was to soft in Alex's opinion and could not accept any unnecessary casualties. This made missions more complicated and therefor Raynor avoided many golden opportunities.
Alex could not agree with that man, his heart was in the right place but he couldnt do what was needed for victory. Alex therefore quickly formed his own bunch of rebels know as The Death Wing. He uses attack and run tactics which would explain the lack of slow and clumsy units in his ****nal.
Alex is now known as many things. Some call him a fanatic, insane or even crazy. His men and friends know him as brave, loyal, determined, inspirational, a leader but mostly as a hero.
Alex is cold to most people unless you are truly devoted to his cause. If you manage to gain his trust then he will help you to the full extent of his abilities and will fight with you to the death. He truly is a friend.
Mako-Class Energy Cannon: Like the weapon of the voidray, but this weapon goes through your shields completly (if under 50% strength) and hits the armor. This weapon alos has a drawback which means that when shot, the cloaking field/shields and engines would be temporaily disabled when this weapon was shot because of massive energy cosumpution. WARNING This weapon cannot be used in atmosphere and is better used not directly in battle but for chasing down and crippling a fleeing ship
Multiple Energy Point Defense Guns: Like normal point defense guns execpt it is energy based
Energy Torpedoes: topedoes that are basically energy bolts. luanches in groups of 3
my missile weapon and ship to ship weapon (secondary weapon)
Multiple Energy Batteries (main weapon): Shoots short energy rail gun blasts at target
Abilities:
Permanent Cloaking Field: The Eclipse has a cloaking field which allows it to cloak itself from sight and anything withing a short radius of it. Side effect: it distorts the shape of the cruiser allowing most shots to pass harmlessly.
The Eclipse was an advanced stealth cruiser that was developed by the Dominion to launch assaults behind enemy lines. It boasts an array of powerful energy based weapons because of multiple new mini Anti-Matter fusion reactors, which allow for higher speed, maneuverability, and a cloaking field. The cloaking field allows the ship to stay cloaked while, if detected, it can distort the size and shape of the cruiser and even project the cruiser to a new location 100 meters away allowing most weapons to pass by harmlessly. Even though weapons can pass through the cloaking field, other smaller vessels such as transport craft cannot. Therefor The Eclipse must first deactivate its cloaking fields before any fighters could be launched. This is because The Eclipse was built for quick hit a run attacks on high level targets such as a science vessel.
Captain Benjamin "Napalm" Abrahms served in the Confederate Marine corps as a Flamer thrower specialist and graduated to Firebat status once the armor was formally adopted into use. He served in multiple units in ever conflict from the Guild wars to the Brood War. After the First great war and the rise of the Dominion Napalm was rolled into a new Division and due to his record given command to them which he proudly named the Flaming Hammer. While being a hardcore Confederate he has managed to show enough sense to keep his political ideas to himself and stay alive. However his unit is typically given Outer Rim assignments to keep him out of the Emperors way.
Firestorm: Napalm detaches one of his plama tanks from his firebat suit and launches it at his enemies creating a small fire storm. Functions as psi storm with fire damage and graphics.
Commanding Aura: Friendly units within radius 6 of Napalm have their attack speed increased by 10%.
Spider Mines: Napalm can deploy Spider Mines, as the vulture spell. Each mine costs him 50 energy.
Ercan was a well respected ship commander of the protoss flee. When lost they contact with "The Luminous"on a clonal mission lost 12 human years ago they were thought to have passed in to the void. Little did the of the protoss Know that was just a malfunction caused by twelve zerglings that some how got on board. Fortunately the zerglings were quickly eradicated however it is sill unknown how the zerglings caused problem because when they went to check on the system it was fine but it just would not work. They have been last known to have just passed xill and was looking for inhabitable planets that have not been infested by the Zerg. The crew quickly discovered that the com systems were sabatoshed and the zergling eggs were placed tho hatch well out side of any protoss help.

Faction: The Imperial Seekers
Race: Protoss
Points: 1
The Imperial Seekers are an offshot of the former Protoss Empire's fleets. Instead of protecting Aiur and its colonies, thei duty was to explore and document the furthest reaches of space.
They were sent to the Void's Edge Nebula on an exploratory mission six years ago. However, upon entering the nebula, the expedition was hit by a sudden ion storm which damaged their ships equipment, including communication. After the equipment was fixed, communication somehow still wasn't established. The expedition sent a vessel back to Aiur to let the Conclave know what had happened but made no move to establish regular communication instead concentrating on their mission.
When the zerg invaded Aiur, the expedition didn't know about it (it didn't even know that the zerg existed) and continued with its exploration which had become focused on following a trail to a possible Xel'Naga ruin. The expedition has been presumed destroyed.
Asyrym is a very traditional protoss in the sense that he obeys the Conclave, supports the caste system and thinks badly of other species and dislikes the dark templar.He is very patriotic and the only thing he thinks is more important than defending Aiur is exploration.
He is both an experienced commander and a scientist and this is why he was chosen as the Imperial Seeker's Expedition. He is 674 years old.
Stats: Scythe (carrier)
So called because it cuts down enemies with stunning speed, the Scythe is Praetor Asyrym's personal carrier. He commands it in battle and uses it as command/flagship in the absence of the expedition's core, the Envoy. The Scythe is frequently used as a spearhead in attacks because of its good armor.

Abilities:
1. Flight (passive)
The carrier can fly.
2. Build/Launch/Repair Interceptors
The carrier can build, launch and repair up to 8 improved interceptors.
Flagship: Envoy
The Envoy is a supercarrier made to fit the needs of a long term explorative expedition. It prioritizes scanning and ****ysis equipment as well the ability to quickly establisha research post. However, it has also been outfitted with basic weapons and armor because of possible hostile species and natural phenomena.
The Envoy is the core of the Imperial Seeker expedition.
While on a mission investigating a rogue Cerebrate and sightings of “odd” infested Terrans, the squad she was assigned to was ambushed. They slowly retreated, but when one of her friends was shot in the leg, she dragged him back to the Medivac at the extraction point. As he was taken out of her hands and dragged inside by fellow marines, she was shot by 3 Hydralisk spines. The medivac was taking fire, and the commanding officer who had a personal grudge against Aria ordered them to leave her.
Although she now wanted to kill him, she managed to put aside her feelings and pick up her rifle and hold off the incoming Hydralisks so they could escape. When they realized the Medivac was gone they started coming for Aria. She realized they were going to infest her (seeing as they weren’t shooting spines trying to kill her) and tried to kill herself. Before she could, her gun was shot out of her hand. She finally fainted from blood loss as she was dragged off.
2 Weeks Later
Aria awakens to find herself in a Zerg base. As she gains her senses, a rogue cerebrate starts talking to her. He explains how he had been experimenting on terrans for awhile, waiting for the a ghost to come along. She was turned into a special infested Terran in hopes that she could become as strong as Kerrigan and take her down so the Cerebrate could take over. Zakul (the Cerebrate) then shows her that he can cause her immense pain if she disobeys his orders, even hinting that he could kill her if need be. Her special infestation combined with her already high Psi level now allows her to control violet lightning in odd ways.
With her new found powers, she now travels across the galaxy doing whatever Zakul’s bidding is. She doesn’t hate the Zerg creatures surrounding her, just the people who have made them kill so many people. Aria hopes that if she can somehow contact Kerrigan under Zakul’s nose and ask her to find a way to stop Zakul’s control over her. Currently, Zakul seems interested in artifacts throughout the galaxy.
Aria Seraph
Appearance: Infested ghost. Has the same slim carapace armor as Kerrigan, but no wings. Infested hair/dreadlock/things are slimmer and not as thick as Kerrigans.
Ability 1: Violet Lightning
Does 100 damage to a single target. If the unit is biological, it has the ability to bounce an additional two times. Costs 75 energy.
Ability 2: Camouflage
Aria sometimes needs to infiltrate enemy bases to assassinate or steal data. Seeing as how she used to be a ghost, the infestation changed her ability from cloaking herself to allow her to change how she looks. A detector would only report that she is a zerg unit and it would be up to the character controlling the detector to decide weathor or not it's malfunctioning or functioning correctly.
Costs 1 energy per second.
Ability 3: Render
Aria unleashes a wave of violet lightning, doing 50 damage to anything in front of her for her max range (currently 5). Costs 75 energy.
Zargoth is a fairly recently born Leviathan, and serves as Aria’s flagship. He is fast and agile upon all else. His attacks consist of him using his tentacles to stab the enemy’s ship. If enemy's get too close, he has spore crawlers that can take them out. His internal security systems include a few traps such as: Acid spitting out from the ceiling/walls, spikes popping up under people’s feet (Think lurker), and corridors closing themselves to crush enemies.
Combat Warp: Allows Zargoth (flagship) to release a quick amount of energy to open a wormhole which transports it and all nearby Allied Zerg to a certain point in the system. After the ability is used, Zargoth can not open another Combat Warp for the duration of the battle.

It specializes in air combat, having a strong air defence system but not being able to launch troops/building rapidly to the ground. The ship has very limited research capacity, relying on raiding other ships to steal technology.

Avarii is a female Dark Templar, and a long descendant of matriarch Raszagal. Nearing the age of 307 she has not nearly acquired enough wisdom for her age. Her skills however are increasing at a fast rate, but she is far away from mastering her abilities. Avarii may not be the great or wise leader that the Protoss need, but she is more than willing to lay down her life for Shakuras. It was not until the war on Aiur that jump started Avarii's involvement in the Galactic struggle between Zerg and Protoss.
Pledging herself to Zeratul to do whatever necessary to ensure that their species survives. Avarii's first appearance was alongside Zeratul at Char. Rescued by Tassadar and the Executor, Zeratul and his Dark Templar, including Avarii, traveled to Aiur.
On Aiur, Avarii was involved in many conflicts, Including the final battle against the Overmind. In that final battle Tassadar's Flagship, The Gantrithor, was sent on a collision course at the Overmind. In that same moment, Templar Avarii, was en route via shuttle to engage an enemy Zerg hive adjacent to the Overmind.
The explosion of Tassadar's ship sent out powerful shock waves negating all air travel in the area, both Zerg and Protoss.The attack force was sent careening down to the planets surface, where the shuttle and it's escorts met a ruined fate.
Zeratul, Raynor, Fenix, Aldaris and the other survivors awoke from the battle in awe to destruction. Both to the destruction of the Overmind and to the destruction of the beautiful world they had once called home. With the rampant Zerg running loose, the Protoss and Human survivors immediately evacuated the area, via Warp gate, which was afterwards destroyed to prevent any being from traveling through. Avarii, along with the other thousands of Protoss warriors had been given for dead.
Awakening from her blackout, the Dark Templar Avarii, is overcome with confusion. Taken by amnesia, the Dark Templar remembers nothing of the Protoss on Shakuras, only that she is lost and in a dieing world full Zerg. After scavaging the area, she Finds only a few of her brethren aboard a damaged Shuttle. Using Protoss Shield batteries, the Protoss manage to protect the damaged transport long enough to lift off and evacuate the Main area of carnage.
Throughout the events of the Brood wars, Avarii has since been traveling the great cities of Aiur, gathering as many survivors as possible. But usually finding little to no one. Avarii has been Fighting her own war of survival against the rampant Zerg; Building up a small fighting force to combat the outnumbering Zerg, while learning what she can from the scattered Khala survivors to piece together the crumbs of her past.

A hijacked prototype protoss flagship created for unknown terran buyers with a super AI called the K.E.N.N.Y. System controlling it (No one knows what KENNY actually stands for)
There are no terminals that have direct control over the ship - Every input into the ships system is merely considered a suggestion by Kenny. He is not obliged to follow orders of any kind, has full free will which cannot be changed.
Kenny cannot be hacked, you can maybe disable and/or gain control over things he is in charge of, but you can't hack Kenny himself.
Kenny is at any point in time able to completely ignore the pirates and take things into his own hands.
No one apart from the crew knows that the human called Kenny that follows Doom around is actually an android. Kenny is able to imitate all bodily functions of a human and able to fool scanners of all types (He has a blood flow (a.k.a. his cooling system), breathes (also connected to his cooling system, but optional), blinks, sometimes scratches himself, has authentic skin (Which, when examined, will show some made up DNA but look completely human) and flesh, his bones are filled with his actual computer hardware. Unless you're really looking for it, you won't know Kenny's not human.
Kenny androids can be reproduced at the Flying Drunkman, and can be built to look like protoss as well. The Flying Drunkman and Kenny are protoss technology, so should the pirates be able to get access to a warp matrix, Kenny, Waiter, the 5 DTs and the Flying Drunkman can be warped.
Any room which has an airlock leading to outer space has it's gravity generators seperated into 1 by 1 meter squares which can be shut on/off individually without affecting the gravity of the rest of the room.
There are autoturrets in the hangars and bridge, there's a sort of sensor tower like system in the ship, and two small turrets at each side of a door that deal 3 damage, marine attack speed, are hidden when not fighting, dont autoattack, and are detectors, cant be damaged while hidden without breaking the doors engine and locking it in place.
There is nothing that makes a door open (No buttons or anything) - Kenny opens them, just like he does everything else on the ship.
Doom hijacked The Flying Drunkman and Kenny with the help of Darth Waiter and five of his Dark Templar (All of which are very skilled and high ranked). The five Dark Templar will be written up as characters sometime in the future once I have the points for them, until then they are only on the ship and won't be used in combat. They aren't DTs in the sc2 sort of way (Cloaked, warp blade and thats it), they are high ranked Nerazim, 2 are sort of DTs, one is a sort of HT, and two are sort of zealots.
Waiter is currently not at his full power - A recent meeting with Nick Reyd (A very dangerous mercenary that has a tendency of going full out insane and destructive) and trying to get him to calm down left him drained. (This is to explain any increases to his shields, energy or other base stats through buying them with points in advance - He's "recovering" his power)

Dr. Orlov Straczinski of the Umojan Protectorate.
Dr. Straczinski is one of many agents deployed by the Protectorate to fund and encourage acts of piracy and sedition against the Terran Dominion. Orlov however, has his own agenda to see to as well. His best friend died under mysterious circumstances almost three months ago, and the Doctor took the Protectorate's assignment, leaving behind a wife and family, shortly after. Since then he has hitchhiked across the seedier areas of the sector in support of both of his missions.
An inventor and gadgeteer along with being mildly psychic, Dr. Straczinsk considers himself a Renaissance man, and his combat style reflects that. He always has the right tool for the job, whether it be for a quick getaway or a deadly fire fight.
Lockdown ~ 100 energy, 8 range, 60 second duration.
Orlov disables enemy mechanical unit or turret. Targets may not attack, move, or use abilities; passive detection and cloaking are disabled.
Personal Defense Field ~ 50 energy, 10 second duration
Orlov can protect himself with a 300 point shield for a brief period of time.
Mind Lapse ~ 25 energy, 8 range.
Affected unit or turret has it's sight reduced to 1 for 30 seconds.
Meditate ~ Channeled, 5 minute cooldown.
Grants Orlov increased energy regeneration for 10 seconds. While Meditating, Orlov regains 30 energy every second.
The Fighting was dying down The Dark Templar had taken control of the security systems and with no way of detecting the cloaked assailants there was no hope for the surviving High Templar.
Only the Bridge was still remained under the control of the High Templar, and Executor Khalana was confident that the blast doors would keep the Dark Templar out.
”Executor, I am sorry, but I cannot reach High Command, the Enemy Mothership are jamming our communications”
Khalana did not show any expression, but it was clear all of this worried her.
”It matters not, Those Blast doors can withstand even the weapons of the powerful Immortal, they will not get in”
”Silly Protoss, those doors might protect you from your little toys, but they will not protect you from....Me”
The psionic voice that was broadcast through the Bridge was like nothing Khalana had ever heard before, it was cold, merciless, and utterly evil and it left a deep mental echo that seemed to bore into the minds of the remaining Templar.
As if on cue, the door shook as it was hit by a tremendous blow, denting it a bit in the process.
Another blow, and this time the door was penetrated by a pair of claws, each the length of a scythe blade.
The blades retreated and then there was yet another blow and this time the door started to give, as a huge hand punched through the metal.
Khalana reacted quickly; calling on her powers she dropped a Psi Storm at the door.
There was a loud roar, one that could have come from an Ultralisk, then the door cracked open as yet another blow hit it and another hand joined the first, as whatever was outside the door started to rip it in half.
There metal screamed in protest the templar tried to Psi Storm, but whatever was at the dorm early moved back until the storm died out and then started to work on the door again.
Then with a final snapping sound the door gave and in stepped the biggest creature Khalana had seen in her life.
Maga chuckled as he felt the shock from the Templar, they had no idea what they were facing and that was the reason they would all die... No not all, the female Templar that had first tried to Psi Storm him, she had potential, and she was too valuable to simply throw away.
One of the other Templar tried to Feedback the creature, figuring that whatever it was he was looking at, it had to have a Psionic Energy reserve, but Maga just laughed at the attempt and with surprising speed rushed over and delivered a devastating 1-2 punch that penetrated the armour then gutted the Templar where it stood.
“Pathetic, you are not worthy of serving me, only one of you are, kill them all, my servants, but leave the Executor, she is worthy”
The Templar immediately started to set up Psi Storms between themselves and the creature, but to no avail, the Dark Templar had already moved into position by the time the order came, and in just a few seconds only Khalana was alive.
As the Dark Templar quickly subdued her she unleashed another Psi storm in an attempt to kill herself and avoid capture.
Maga was too quick however, he charged in pushing the templar out of the area of effect and grabbing Khalana by the throat.
“You won’t escape me that easily, you will serve me, mark my words”
Khalana tried to extract herself, but Maga gave her a slap on the face, and while the Shields blunted the assault it was still enough to knock her unconscious.

Present Day, The Dark Void. Location: Red Stone
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
”Master, as per your orders I have searched up a list of available bounty hunters and mercenaries that would be willing to work for Protoss employers, I can contact them at any time on your behalf”
Maga looked up from his meal, a fully grown Ursadak Bull.
“Excellent work, thank you Khalana, I knew I did the right thing in making you my servant”
Khalana bowed gracefully.
”No, it is this one who should thank you, Master, without you, this one would still have been a slave to the Khala, but you showed this one the truth, this one are forever in your debt, Master”
Maga grinned evilly, he found it ironic that a Protoss that had been named after the Khala, because of her willingness to protect the Protoss who were connected to it, now would kill any and all Protoss that was not a part of Magas little cult.
Maar had been right; nothing was more fun then corrupting Protoss into docile little pets that would do anything for you.
To every Protoss on board the Dark Nova, Maga was a god, and why shouldn’t they worship him?
He was, after all, the perfect child of the Xel’Naga, Purity of Form, combined with Purity of Essence, a Hybrid.
While Maga was till young nothing about him was small, when standing an Ultralisk would only reach him to the shoulders, and he could outrun most Zerglings, while they were off the Creep at least.
In short he was powerful, and would only become more powerful as he grew older and taller.
”Well, then Master I will see if I can get in contact with some Mercenaries to do your dirty work for you, my Master”
Maga nodded and then went back to his bloody feast, only looking up from it every now and then to view the monitor showing him security feeds from the base at the surface.
With a gleeful grin he ripped a handful of flesh from the Ursadaks chest, before digging in for his favourite part, the heart.
SOA:
Intro post, Orloth I still need some clarification in how to administer payment, since there have not been any info given about how much of financial means each faction starts out with to begin with
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 Hour ago, Near Orbit of Tarsonis
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"how long until we land?" asked captain Marcus, commander of the supply vessel Armada. He was getting a bit anxious.
"12 hours remain until arrival" replied the adjutant.
'Good. At this rate, we'll be able to land safely' thought Marcus. Even with an escort of 2 vikings, he was nervous. He was on board a ship load of minerals and gas. Perfect attraction of pirates.
"captain! Tarsonis is now visible!" called one of the ship's crew.
"alright. Let's hurry up and get there befo..." He didn't get to finish. He was too shocked. Just a few seconds ago, He could see the planet. The screen now showed a squad of wraiths, uncloaking one by one.
.
.
.
"Another successful raid captain!" shouted James, holding up a barrel of vespine gas. "This ship was a supply vessel at that. This should last us another week!"
Orion did not respond, nor even look back. He was focused on the document he extracted from the supply vessel's database.
"James" He gestured to his lieutenant, who was counting the mineral patches. "Tell the men to hurry up. We are departing shortly"
James nodded. He ordered the crew to speed up the hauling of the resources. Orion stepped back into his wraith, and took off to his flagship. He could now see The Kraken, hidden in a vast nebula of gas, silently in position, awaiting his arrival.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Present time, On Board The Kraken
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Orion did not wait to recover from the raid, but went straight to the star-map. He entered the coordinates he found in the document. A planet came up, one that he has known, but didn't pay attention before.
"what is it captain?" asked James, returned from duty. He took a look at the star-map, and read the document that was on it.
"oh wow. Never knew this place was this rich" he said with a grin.
"Pilot. Prepare the ship for warp-drive." Orion ordered.
"The destination sir?" asked Michael, the head pilot of The Kraken.
"We're heading for the Antiga System."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How was that? Anything I did wrong? I know it's not as long as Lunaria's, but I hope it's enough
EDIT: Orloth you got my ship's stats wrong. I updated it.
"Sir", said quatermaster Karen, "We are starting to run low on money again. I have got enough to last 13 weeks, but that's streching things. We need more money."
Sajuuuk looked around at the supplies. Over the years, he had gained the ability to guess how long supplies would last if they were really streched. The answer came back, at most 15 weeks. "Your right, Quatermaster. If a new offer doesn't come in this week, we'll be heading to Redstone, to see if there is anyone to raid, or just mine some of the minerals there. They are worth a lot around here. Quatermaster, you are dissmissed."
Karen, got up, streched her legs, and put the holo-picture back in her pocket. Soon after she left, Sajuuk's commander of the ground forces, one Commander Soban, walked into Sajuuk's office. "Captin, we got him!"
"Excellent."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One hour later, on the bridge of the Nubaal
"So Mr. Jackson," barked Sajuuk as he paced back and forth in front of the prisoner, "you thought you could hire us for a contract, have us complete it, not pay me a credit, and GET AWAY WITH IT!" The last few words became a roar.
The prisoner looked pititful. His once fine clothes, sugesting a life of wealth, were tarnished. A few small bloodstains were visible here or there. "I--I cccan pay you back tripple what I offered you in t-the first place". Jackson managed to stammer out.
"Is that so." Sajuuk's voice had suddenly gone very quiete. It was even more unerving that way. "In that case, deposit the money here, and you will get your reward." Sajuuk slid over the laptop. Jackson hastily did some typing.
"Looks good Captin" A marine said, watching the screen.
"I'll moniter the money flow." Said Quatermaster Karen.
Soon Jackson was done. "There, 300,000 credits deposited into your account."
"Thank you." Said Sajuuk as he pulled out his pistol. The gun fired once, putting the bullet into Jackson's head. "Clean up the body." Sajuuk said, pointing at two luckless marines. "Quatermaster, are the funds still good?"
"Verifining...Oh that sneaky bastard! Thought I didn't know that trick eh? Damn it, sir, there no real money here." The Quatermaster slammed her hands down on the controls.
"So he tried to cheat us one last time, and got his just reward. I will be in my office. Commander Soban, prep the troops for mining duty in Redstone. Somehow, we never seem to get contract offers right after we kill a former employee." Sajuuk about-faced and started marching out of the bridge.
"There, that should do it." Kenny said, and something whirred to life in Doom's right eye.
The about eight foot large, extremely muscular pirate reeking of alcohol with a black beard, long black hair that's never heard of a comb, wearing urban camo pants, black boots and a sweat colored t-shirt and has a large revolver and an even larger knife hanging on his belt sat up on the table he's been lying on as Kenny put away the tools he was working with. [OOC: Damn that's a long sentence]
"Hell, it's about time." The professional drinker said.
He looked at Kenny with his robotic eye, and a label shot out of his side saying "K.E.N.N.Y." and giving a lot of data like exact weight, height, pulse and such. He mentally flicked the label away and turned on infrared view, then nightview, and just kept going through the different views available to him. Everything seemed to work fine. It even showed him Kenny's blood flow and heartbeat, his human heat signature and body structure. It always amazed him how the android was so authentical.
Kenny was short, had brown hair and eyes and a friendly face and looked pretty young, twenty at most. He wore a white shirt with a black skull'n'bones logo on the collar, and he had a black hat lying on a desk behind him which Doom bought him because Kenny won a bet. He learnt a valuable lesson that day: Never bet "That's not gonna fit in there" against a super AI.
"Good, I see it's working." Kenny said.
"Where's my rum?" Doom asked, and Kenny handed him the bottle, which Doom emptied in one go. "How about ya turn on our theme song?"
"Sure." Kenny said, and Green Day started playing over the speakers.
"Wrong theme song, Kenny." Doom said.
"Was just checking for brain damage." Kenny said, and Doom shot him a nasty look, and the music switched to Nickelback's "Burn it to the Ground".
"How're the repairs on my suit goin'?" Doom asked as he looked at the large marine combat suit covered in burn marks and duct tape.
"Almost operational. Well, it is operational, but I'd prefer to swap out the duct tape with actualy parts first. But Nick fried most of it and your chaingun, and it'll take me a while to get them fixed completely."
"Alright. Kosh in the cafeteria?"
"Yup."
"Aight, let's go there."
Storage Room 16 A
The Flying Drunkman
It was dark. He preferred it that way. Kenny already asked him whether he wanted the lights turned on, but he told him not to. The encounter with Nick left him drained - it's not easy to tame the devil. He hadn't felt this weak in... At least six centuries.
He reached out of his mind, inspecting the pirates on board, seeing what everyone else was seeing and hearing what everyone was thinking. There appeared to be something going on between that medic and banshee pilot - something neither was happy about.
"Chick fight in a few seconds, cafeteria." Waiter notified Doom.
I'll be there. What are you up to? Doom thought to himself, knowing Waiter was listening.
"Nothin' brah. Just restin', enjoyin' some peace 'n quiet before we be goin' ta wreck some stuff again."
Darth Waiter shifted his focus back to himself. Talkin' of wreckin' stuff again...
He felt for the energy in the void and summoned a bit. Just one glowing red line of purely destructive energy. He moved it through the storage room, making some figures in the air, and then summoned another stripe of energy, and another, and another... After a minute there was, what his enemies would call it, "a gigantic ****storm of stuff" flying around the storage room at high speeds. To most it looked like pure chaos made of red lines of energy, but it wasn't directly. Waiter knew where each line was going, he knew that they were covering every single nanometer of the storage room apart from where he was standing. Not even the smallest of flies would stand a chance in this room. He released the energy back into the Void.
He wasn't too happy. It felt far too hard to control that amount of energy. This time he reached into the Khala and created a massive psionic storm inside the room. It was easier, but less satisfying.
He left the storage room and walked towards the cafeteria.
The Cafeteria
The Flying Drunkman
A blonde and a brunette were fighting in the middle of a ring of men that were cheering on whichever of the two they've bet on. The remaining women of the crew were just sitting at a table in the corner and talking about how idiotic the men were.
"The brunette's gonna win." Captain Sparrow said.
"No, it's definitely gonna be the blonde." Captain Swallow disagreed.
"I say blonde as well." Doom said.
"I think--" Kenny started.
"No, Kenny, you don't think, you know. No more bets with you." Doom said. Kenny just gave him a mocking grin and adjusted his hat.
"I definitely think it's gonna be the brunette." Kosh said. He was well dressed compared to the other pirates and hasn't shaved in a couple of days, was about six feet tall and had brown hair and wore a brown jacket, pants and a white shirt. "Here you go." He said as he handed Doom a bottle of Rum.
"Blonde biscuit gonna win." Sticks put in as he uncloaked behind the guys together with Stones.
"Nah, it be lookin' as if the brunette sistah's winnin'."
"Well, I'd have ta agree with Stones." Charles, a nerazim High Templar, said.
"Brunette." Waiter said as he came in. "Altough tha votes are practically 50:50."
Waiter was wearing a black coat which almost reached the floor, gray pants and a giant white shirt made to fit a protoss.
"Blonde." Kenny said.
"Thanks for ruinin' it." Doom said.
"Maybe that's what he wants us to think." Kosh added.
"Maybe he wants us to think he's tricking us." Sticks said.
"Maybe he wants us to think he thinks he's tricking us." Stones said.
"Maybe he wants us to think he thinks we think he thinks--" Sparrow started, but stopped himself and everyone just stared at Kenny smiling at them.
"You can be real annoyin', ya know?" Doom said.
"Yea, that's what I was counting on. Now the thing is, we need to find a good target to raid or a job." Kenny said. "I believe you were coming here to ask Kosh about that?"
"Well, we're close to redstone." Kosh said. "Lot's of minerals down there. We can try and mine our own, raid some people that are already mining, or play bodyguards or something. I'm sure we'll find something to do there."
"Alright, Kenny, Redstone it is. Kosh, another bottle of rum!"
SoA: Intro post, didn't introduce the two remaining dark templar since I can't think of good names for them.
Pirates arrive at Redstone in 1 IC and begin mining and raiding defenseless miners (and allow them to pay for their protection)
They will drop out of warpspace out of sight range of other ships in orbit. The Flying Drunkman is black, so unless the planet is behind it you'll have a hard time finding it.
They will build a few banshees and vikings, a squad of 4 marines, 2 marauders and 1 medivac per mining location as basic defense, banshees and vikings will search for hostiles in an as large perimeter as possible, if any are found more resources are thrown into army production.
Doom's marine suit will be ready in 1 IC.
OOC: Do we get points for mining? We're gaining resources, we can possibly sell them (and then get the points), so we do have the means to advance our tech, build/repair/advance units/heroes, etc.
Also, any rules about involving lore important characters? (Like meeting Raynor, Valerian or Zeratul, or having a character related to them or something)
~~~The Prometheus, Dominion Capital Ship for the Theta Squadron under General Borus; Tarsonis System~~~
The general stood at the window chewing his cigar as he watched flights of Vikings patrol the wreckage.
"Pirates," He growled, "The taxpayers are dumping money into this rock to get her back to her former glory, and they swoop in and take it for themselves. Lieutenant, do we have a positive I.D on the ship that attacked here yet?"
"Yes we do captain, the orbital relays picked up the Kraken hiding in the Nebula just out system."
"Did they happen to see where they went? Captain Windwalker is long due for his cell in New Folsom."
"We have a direction, bringing it up on screen."
Borus continued to chew the nub that remained of his cigar, "Not a lot in that direction. Antiga and Sara haven't had anything of value since the War." The General spat out the remains of the desiccated cigar, "Set a course for Antiga, might as well check. The Kraken has been allowed to roam Dominion space for too long."
"Captain, we have troops helping in the clean up and rescue."
"Recall them, the locals can handle the mess. We will handle the culprit."
SOA: The Dominion Ship "Prometheus" is following the Kraken's trail. 5 posts until arrival in Antiga System.
~~~Dead Man's Port~~~
The creature looked at him and looked through him. His entire being was available for the creature to see. He was naked before those eyes, defenseless against it's mind. He tried to run, but his legs did not follow his commands. He tried to scream but his lungs were too busy gasping for air in his frightened state to produce much more then a whimper. And when he had been drained; body, mind and soul; the creature picked up his ragged body and through it into the abyss.
~~~
Orlov awoke from the dream in a cold sweat. He quickly got his bearings, but the terror remained. That dream had haunted him for months, ever since the event. Orlov got up and went to the sink to clean up. On his way back to the closet he stopped at a picture that rested by his bed. Three people we're sitting around a camp fire, laughing. One of them was the lanky figure of himself, Dr. Orlov Straczinski. The other two... he didn't like to think about that.
"I will find it, Bug. I will find it."
Fully dressed in his well worn and patched cloths and long, dark duster, Orlov took his wide rimmed hat from the hook by the door and hit the release button. The door opened with the hiss of compressed air, and Dr. Straczinski stepped out to conduct the business of the Protectorate, and to continue his search.
SOA: Some foreshadowing and an introduction to a character I intend to use a lot.
"Cap'n, conference room." Kosh said over the radio.
"Cafeteria." Doom replied.
"Cafeteria then." Kosh said, and changed the direction he was walking in.
A minute later Kosh entered the Cafeteria holding a file, followed by Darth Waiter and his templar, Captain Sparrow, Captain Swallow and Kenny.
"Why exactly do we have to hold the meeting in the cafe--" Kosh started, then noticed the two women from yesterdays fight lying asleep on the floor, tangled up in each other. "How long...?"
"They fell asleep while fighting about two hours ago. They can't really move, they've got each other's hair knotted up in their own and around their arms." Doom explained.
"Let's get ta business. They'll be sleeping fa' a while anyway, so ya guys can stare at 'em later." Waiter said.
Kosh opened the file and started handing out papers.
"Three major jobs, but I listed all the smaller things as well below. First one, some fishy protoss guys want summin' from Xil, they seem to be somewhere around Redstone as well. Then there are some Kel'morians here, they want something about clearing out some zerg around some decent resource clusters. Last but not least, some doctor guy at deadman's port wants to sabotage some shipyards in Dylar."
"I don't like the sound of "fishy protoss guys". What they payin'?"
"Large chunk of resources, no actual cash, plus we might not be the only ones trying to do the job, plus there's Tal'darim involved and very strict rules. Don't think it's worth the trouble."
"Definitely not worth it." Waiter said.
"What about the other two?" Sparrow asked.
"No stated payment, but I can ask." Kosh answered.
"I'd go fa sabotage." Charles said. "We're good at that."
"Yea, I vote sabotage." Swallow said.
"Since when did this become a democracy?" Doom asked.
"When did someone declare it isn't?" Kosh answered.
"Good point. I say sabotage as well, in addition, simple doctor guys tend to not be that dangerous." Doom answered. "Who else here in favor of sabotage?"
Everyone agreed on sabotage.
"Aight, Kenny, Kosh, run a background check on the doc, find out what you can and whether he can really pay us, and how much he would pay us. Sparrow, Swallow, be ready to pack up our mining forces in case the job turns out to be worth taking." Doom said, then went over to the counter and grabbed a bottle of rum.
SoA:
Pirates get ready to leave Redstone (they're still there and mining, but ready to leave)
Pirates run a background check on Dr. Orlov Straczinki (I bet I mispelled), they'll try and find out as much as possible, like whether he works/owns some military or something, etc.
They also contact him about the job and will most likely accept it with more details.
”Master this one are sending the contract information now, this one should get a reply shortly”
Maga gave a mental grunt to acknowledge, he was having too much fun torturing a small thing that his servants called a Terran, it’s screams was simply delightful, apparently he had run into some Zerg and gotten separated from his buddies, and because of this he was mot likely presumed dead anyhow, no one would miss him.
”Khalana, send them the information about the mission”
Mission info:
Objective: Retrieve an Ancient Protoss Artefact on planet Xil
Payment: 2000m 2000g upfront. Up to an additional 18.000m 18.000g, depending on how damaged the artefact is, if the artefact is destroyed no payments for delivery of the pieces will be issued, as costs of repairs will be subtracted from final payment.
Briefing follows:
On the planet Xil, there is an ancient valley covered in dense mist, the local Protoss call it the Valley of the Ancient Horrors, what exactly live in there is unknown to our forces, but scout probes have picked up a trace of an ancient artefact that I am interested in procuring, however the Tal'Derim, as the local Protoss call themselves and are religious fanatics, and has denied us entry, claiming the valley to be cursed.
Your Objective is as follows;
1. Travel to Xil.
2. Infiltrate the valley.
3. Find and retrieve the artefact.
4. Deliver the artefact as intact as possible, costs for repairs WILL come out of your final payment.
5. Your group may or may not be the only group sent after the artefact, the payment goes to the one who deliver it to us first-
SPECIAL CLAUSE:
Under no circumstances are you to activate, scan or otherwise interact with the artefact itself.
A special probe will be sent with you to ensure that such tampering does not happen, this probe also has a direct link to out HQ so you can use it to obtain additional info that we might gather during the course of the mission.
Should the probe go offline for any reason even for just a few seconds, it will be viewed as an attempt to tamper with the artefact and your payment will be forfeit.
Should tampering occur, steps will be taken to ensure that the artefact is retrieved safely by the Black Sun.
Just a few seconds after sending the contract a bleep informed her that one of the two groups had declined, Khalana contemplated informing the other group but decided against it, as that could mean they might end up slacking off.
"Sir, we have an incoming message. It looks like a mercenary contract by someone named Khalana."
"Really, is that so Ensign?" Sajuuk mused. "Bring it up at my screen."
Sajuuk quickly read through the contents.
"Hum, it seems that we have been offered a contract. Commander Soban, bring the ship to a suitable speed for a warp jump, I want us en route to Redstone in the hour."
"Yes sir."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One hour later: Nubaal conference room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"All right folks, here is the raw deal; we have been hired by what appears to be Protoss, or someone who has access to there technology. We are to go to Redstone and pick up a probe.
This probe will monitor our situation and give us further updates on the mission. This probe MUST not be tampered with and must be protected, as any damage to it will be seen as a breach of contract. The probe has another function, to confirm that we secure the package".
He took a deep breath before he continued.
"Now the package is some sort of alien artefact on a world called Xil. I have pulled up all the information on the planet, which isn't much. Most of the world is mined out from a race that seems to have died off.
There are ruins all over the planet, and other Protoss guarding them. We shall have to enter a valley called the Valley of Ancient Horrors, defeat the Protoss Tal'Derim defenders, garb the artefact, and get out. The probe will confirm that we have the artefact, and that we won't run away with it. And that is the easy part." Sajuuk droned on.
"Easy PART?!" said engineer Kobiasi. "Transporting that damn artefact with out hurting it, or having it blow us to pieces is not exactly easy! Captain, I know we need money, but this is a tough job we are talking about. And what's this about a "Valley of Ancient Horrors" anyway? What; did they decide "let’s name this the scariest yet vaguest thing possible to scare other people"? I don't like it at all, Protoss normally give places their name for a reason."
"For once, I agree with Kobiasi." Soban added almost immediately. "If the Protoss have Colossi, Carriers, or Heaven profane a Mothership, we are screwed. We need those Vikings. Also, Protoss don't get rid of grudges easily, and we can't simply outlive them."
"And to get Vikings we need more money." Sajuuk replied calmly. "Hell, to eat we need more money. Now we will get a down payment of 2000 mins and gas. Upon completion, we will get up to 18.000 more mins and gas, depending on the condition of the artefact. There is another catch however, we might not be the only mercs hired."
"What!" The crew collectively yelled.
"I know, I know. Another group of mercs, I don't know who else may have been hired. All I know is that it is most likely a race, and whoever we might end up racing against will probably show any mercy. But we have to go, as no other job is available, and we need that money. Are there any other questions?"
The room went silent. Finally, the quartermaster spoke. "Captain, if these guys don't care about our lives, what makes you think they will pay?"
"Simple, they got no reason not to. Alright Commander Soban; prepare the troops for a raid on the Protoss, but keep some Hellions about. I got a feeling that if there are other mercs, they are going to be Terran too. Dismissed, I will send conformation of the contract to this Khalana"
OC: I am traveling from Dead Man's Port to Redstone to pick up the probe.
Transit time is (5*4.5)/5 = 5 posts
This is the first.

Dreadnaught Nubaal, Sajuuk's quater's.
Sajuuk was studing the extranets infromation on his new employer. What he could find was scant. It was confirmed the buyer was Protoss, and that was it. He had set up a program to post him if any new information came in, but Sajuuk didn't expect anything new.
A knock at the door distrupted his thoughts. He knew right away who it was, only one person knocked on a ship full of chimes and voice mails. "Come in, Mr. Makan."
"Thats diplomat Makan", said the porky man as he pushed his bulk through the doorway. Makan was a roundset man. Basically the go between, enjoyed calling himself "diplomat" Makan. The crew mainly made fun of him behind his back. But he was useful, in more ways than one might expect. "I here you have a deal. Need me to up the price?"
"Not this time. All you are doing is picking up a probe. No haggaling, understood?"
"Yah, yah, whatever." Makan replied, shaking his hands in such away as if shooing a bird. No one else talked like this to Sajuuk, but Makan was unique. He is rather autistic, which for some reason makes him a shrewed negotiatior. Also, because his brain was literally hardwired differently, ghosts had an increadibaly hard time dominating him. This defense was useless against aliens, as his brain was already different, but it completely threw off humans. Although he didn't seem to pay attention at all, Makan was able to pick up many small things.
"I really do mean it. Protoss can be easily affened, and we need that money. Just go in and pick up that probe."
"You got boss." Makan replied jauntily. He saluted ironicly, and left Sajuuk alone.
Orion is staying near orbit of Antiga Prime. 3 posts until departure.

Present time, Planet Antiga Prime surface
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The creep began wrapping around his feet every time he took a step. Orion didn't like the feeling at all, squishing through the infestation. He had sudden jolts of memories from Tarsonis. He tried not to think about it, and kept on walking to the destination.
"Alright guys!" James called. "It should be around here somewhere"
Orion looked around for any signs of the heavy rich mineral deposit that was written in the document. According to James's calculation, the deposit would give them a huge boost in equipment manufacturing, enough to produce several dozen wraith hulls. He looked again for the yellow glint, when suddenly the ground below them shook. He could hear the earth crumbling beneath them and knew what that meant.
"Zerg ambush! Get your rifles out! Goliath operators get ready!"
As the crew shuffled for their weapons, a thunderous cry could be heard from the east.
"Ultralisk! Goliaths focus fire on it and get it down!"
An ultralisk unburrowed from the ground and began to charge at their position. At the same time, several zerglings and hydralisks began unburrowing around them.
"James! Hail the Kraken. Tell them to send in three squads of wraiths!" Yelled Orion. As James was talking to Michael, He opened fire on a nearby hydra. The crew had zero combat experience with zerg before so Orion gave out orders rapidly.
"Half of goliaths go take down the ultralisk! Everybody else kill all zerg in the area!"
There were shooting and screams everywhere. Orion shot another hydralisk and killed several zerglings that was jumping on a goliath. The goliath pilots, who were one of the pride of Orion, were getting killed rapidly. There were too many hydras and zerglings. The half of goliaths he sent to kill the ultralisk were decimated, and was coming towards the battlefield. As he killed two more zerglings, another jumped on his back.
"god dammit!" He shook it off, only to see a hydralisk about to claw his head open. Orion closed his eyes, ready for the end.
Two lasers zoomed above him and killed the hydralisk instantly. The wraiths shot another volley at the ultralisk, creating several holes in it's armor. The crew cheered on as five hydras were killed helplessly before the mighty flyers. The wraiths obliterated the remaining zerg and went to patrol.
"That scared the living **** out of me!" cried James.
"Yeah. But what happened to the rich minerals? Where are they?" asked Orion.
"Hey captain! Come take a look at this!"
Orion got up and walked towards the holes the zerg unburrowed from.
"My god. This is beautiful!" whispered James as he looked at the underground rich mineral deposits. "There must be several hundreds of them!"
Orion ordered the crew to load up as many deposits as possible. As he was about to return to his wraith, something caught his eye.
"James stay here and watch over them. I'll be right back" Orion stepped inside a tunnel, walking up to an object.
It was not terran technology. The object emanated blue energy from it's core. Orion touched the end of it, when it flashed a bright light and a hologram appeared from the top of it.
"Captain?" asked Michael in surprise.
"How are you there? How..how do you open a communication server from that deep? Oh by the way, did you get what you were looking for?"
"I'll tell you when we get there Michael" told Orion.
"And yes we did. But we also got something far more valuable. Get the ship hidden and put some wraiths on patrol. We're staying here for a while."
SoA: Orion battled the zerg, got a huge amount of minerals, and also found a strange object.

Khalana entered the information centre, walked a few steps, turned around and fell to her knees, as one all the Protoss in the room followed her example as the doors opened again and Maga stepped in.
“How long is it, until the Terrans arrive?”
”Should not be more then a few days, my Master” answered the leader of the observation squad.
“Good, and out other Observers have they found anything?”
”Not yet, Master, but we will keep you-“
*BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP*
“What is that infernal noise?”
”All the observers we sent to the planet the Terrans call Antiga all suddenly got signals about an ancient artefact, this signal is old, might even be Xel’Naga tech!”
“Keep monitoring that artefact for now, once we have sent those other mercenaries to Xil we are moving out to Antiga”
”As you wish Master, this location has nearly been mined out anyway, if we are to continue mining we would have to move to a new area”
Maga nodded “Just keep an eye out for that artefact, you do not want to tell me you lost track of it!”
Then Maga left, with Khalana following behind him.
”You heard the Master, we have work to do so get to it”
As Maga returned to his room one of the Dark Templar sent to scout reported in.
“My Master, a group of Terrans have showed up, they want to know if we have seen your newest toy, what should we tell them”
”Tell them the only Terrans we have seen around here before them are infested ones, please use a cold, uncaring and aloof tone, which should take care of it”
OC: I have arived at redstone to begin a contract. Upon leaving, I will be heading for X'ill which will take (7*1.5 + 1)/5 = 9.2 = 10 total posts posts. Along the way I will be passing through Umoja, so Orloth, if you want anything to happen to me, there's your chance.

Dropship from Nubaal, entering Redstone
Makan was beginning to sweat. He hated the heat with a passion, and now he was traveling to some foresaken planet to pick up a probe. Wonderful.
"How long until we reach the drop point?" Makan shouted at the pilot.
"Less than a minute, diplomat Makan." replied the pilot.
The dropship soon touched down on a spit of land above the lava oceans. Makan and his small escort of 6 marines got out. "There's the probe sir." said one of the marines, pointing at the protoss machine.
The probe activated, and floated over to the terrans. "Greetings, I am 664 Sparky. I assume that the tubby one here is the leader, right? Well let's get on your ship and get this over with. This heat is already starting to corrode my shiny exterior."
Makan was flabbergast. Not only did the machine think he was tubby, but it's name was right next to the number of the Beast. Makan did not like signs, not one bit. They made him.....nervous. He tried to keep his cool, and barely succeded. "Let's enter the ship, shall we. And no, I am not the leader of the Vaygar Raiders. That is Sajuuk."
"Excellent. I look forward to meeting Sajuuk, and hopefully I won't have to worry about him being boiled alive in this heat. You terrans look quite peculiar that way." With that, Sparky entered the dropship
It was all Makan could do to not start bawling. He followed the contraption into the dropship, along with the marines. "Take us back to the Nubaal." He shouted at the pilot.

Nubaal Conference Room, 13 minutes later.
Sajuuk looked at the probe in facination. Not only was it the closest he had ever gotten to protoss technology without feeling in danger, put it had also seemed to have gotten Makan to shut up for once. Truely a remarkeable machine.
"As I understand it, Sparky, you are to moniter us to make sure we don't steal the artifact for ourselves, and to provide us with any additional information that may come up."
"That is correct." The little machine chirped. "I will always have direct contract with my master. You will bring the artifact to him, or suffer the consuqences."
"I always fulfill my end of the bargin." Sajuuk's voice had turned low at the sujestion that he would renegade on the contract. "Now, we will be raiding a protoss encament to get this artifact. Since you must not be damaged, I propose that for the first five minutes of the raid, where we set up the base camp, you be aboard this ship. After that, you can come down with me in the same drop-pod to ensure our completion of the task. Is that alright?"
"I belive that is, but I must be down with 5 minutes of you securing a drop-point. Otherwise, I may end up witnessing terran a'la flambe."
"Excellent. Now engineer Kobiasi will need to speak to you about how to transport the artifact so it doesn't get damaged, and so it doesn't interact with the ship and blow us to bits. He is down in the docking bay, preparing a ship for trasporting the artifact."
"Very well, I shall slowly prepell myself to him." Sparky turned and left the room, leaving Sajuuk alone with his thoughts and worries.
OC: planned to post more then this but i need to sort some stuff out with Wind first.

Probe 289 was fuming, not only had they redone his beloved dark grey chassis with green lights into the standard Protoss gold blue, but it had to call itself “664 Sparky” how utterly humiliating.
If it wasn’t for the fact that it had no choice about following orders he would have spilled the beans about what the terrans actually was working for just to went some of his anger.
The only upside to it was that if the pirates were foolish enough to try and steal the artefact for themselves he would get to sic his masters entire force on them and watch them all burn.
To bad Khalana had programmed it to behave like those sickly positive probes those foolish followers of Adun liked so much, how those poor bastards could survive sounding so disgustingly positive all the time, it simply couldn’t comprehend.
As it hovered down towards the docking bay an engineer commented about its shiny exterior
“Up yours too, ass-wipe!” it replied, leaving the poor guy just staring after it as it continued along.
It started feeling a little better already.
As it entered the Docking bay it scanned around “Scuse me! I’m looking for some gearhead named Kobiasi, anyone know where I can find him?”
"Scuse me! I'm looking for some gearhead named Kobiasi, anyone know where I can find him?" Kobiasi heard a metalic voice say. He raised his head up from the dropship he was working on and saw what must be the probe floating by.
"That's grease-monkey to you, you, you, ah whatever, get over here you stupid probe. Hey Goben, get your rear in gear to me and this probe." A helpless mechanic got up nearby, and walked towards the cheif engineer.
"Coming cheif."
"Finally. Now look here Mr. Hover-pants, I need to know everything about transporting this artifact of yours. How much does it way, what are its dementions, what should I keep it away from, the whole maitence list. Got it?"
Sparky flew over to the chief. "First off, its Sparky, not Mr. Hover-pants. Secondly, SCV brain, I will call you whatever I feel like, including lunch. Thirdly, I don't know that much about the artifact, so I don't know how to transport it. You will just have to figure it out yourself, when we go down there."
"Oh that's just great. Nevermind Goben, get back to work. Well, Smilely, if you don't know anything, why don't you ask your master. I'm sure he has a great fountian of knowledge about the artifact in the Valley of Drangerous Animales or whatever its called. So why don't you scoot on over and ask him about -" The cheif cut of when he saw Makan with a pistol in his hand. "Makan, what in the name of Thor do you think you are doing?"
"That thing, that devil, bad number. Bad Mojo. Next to the beast, yet worth a number 2, can do many things. 2 + 664 is 666. Is beast. Always beast. Wants to eat me, eat you, eat all of us. Must destroy beast." Makan slowly raised the pistol.
"Just try it, fat-boy. Shoot at me, and I will see you put on a stick and roasted over a slow fire alive, with an apple in your mouth." Sparky replied.
"You idiot, Makan, he's a number 2. You said it yourself. You can't hurt him. Get over you facination with numbers, not everything in this world makes sense. You kill or hurt that probe, and we all burn slowly." Kobaisi was trying to convince Makan, but he was also delaying him until Goben got close enough..."Just stay away from the thrice cursed thing if you don't like it so much."
"Won't work, its to dangerous, its not just a number 2, its negative, has to be stop, has toooooo..." Makan's rambaling ended as Goben pushed the plunger down on the sedative.
"That will keep him out for a while, we should put him into the brig until this is over." The engineer said.
"Agreeded, I'll help you move him in a minute. Now, Simple, is there anything else? If not, you can call your master with my questions." The cheif had already began moving to Makan.
"Nothing else for now, Rusty Rump. Now I will try to make that call, but you guys have such poor reception, and I don't know if it will work." The probe began to float to somewhere private as Kobiaisi and Goben moved the sleeping Makan towards the brig.
