Spurred by the epic thread 'Dead Armory is Dead' the amazing members Gemini, GreenMachine and Sagle have created the Armory Coaching Inc.™
Having to compete with other large organizations such as GosuCraft, which was created by 2Weak, we have decided to offer this service for FREE!
Why we are doing this
"Because micro is for b!tches" - DC5
Three of your own Armory members want to help you, yes YOU, to become better at what you love, and that thing is hopefully StarCraft.
Helping others can often be rewarding.
Have you ever felt as though you cannot improve upon your play? Can you not realize what your problems are? Are you afraid to ladder because of the fear of being proxy 2gated or 6pooled? Well these three coaches are here to get you out of your stepnophobia and into the Starcraft world with an open mind, faster fingers and a positive attitude.
The Coaches
Name: nYqGemini.343
Race Coaching: Protoss
Servers Available: USA
Personal Background I am Dylan 'nYqGemini' Kristopovich and I am 16 years old. I have played Protoss since I started in the beta early March. I started in Bronze and worked my way up to mid Diamond at release and hit Masters the day it came out. I have coached many players previously and they have increased dramatically from the lessons. I'm also the biggest Day[9] fan in the entire universe.
Description of Coaching: I like to start off with a replay to identify the problem you specify or point out other problems and build off of that. I focus on a lot of explanation and question answering. I prefer a set planned time for lessons. I am mostly available on Friday-Sunday due to my very random weekday schedule.
Name: Kinetic.404
Race Coaching: Protoss
Servers Available: USA
Personal Background: Hey what up all. I've been playing Starcraft ever since I was a kid but I never really got competitive. Fastest maps all day err day. I played the beta in Starcraft 2 starting in the bronze (now silver) league. I worked my way up to Platinum and then the league names changed and then worked my way up to Low Diamond. I was able to build a new computer to start playing from low 5fps to extreme 60-100fps. Then, I took some time off of Starcraft to get used to my new mouse and play League of Legends. Now I'm back and playing in the Mid-Masters League. I play a lot of 2v2s and 3v3s with my irl friends who aren't really good at the game. I'm patient with them and I teach them certain things they can do to their opponents when we play our team games. They all seem to hold their ground pretty well (bro, just make mass marines, give me control, and watch me micro. Oh hell no, hold my base). Most of my irl friends are in bronze-gold.
Description of Coaching: First I'll ask you what exactly you want to work on. This can range from general match up tips, to responding against a certain action. Then maybe I'll take on teaching a group of students who need coaching because I believe that learning as a group vs learning one on one will benefit you guys better. Time to make powerpoints and ****. I may even create an channel where you guys can practice against each other and practice against other people. Perfect opportunity to get lower level non protoss players to play and refine their ? vs p.
Whenever you see me online, just hit me up so we can the ball rolling and get this thing started.
Name: GreenMachine.320 (Currently Inactive)
Race Coaching: Zerg
Servers Available: USA
Personal Background: I am Andrew 'GreenMachine' Pelletier and I am 21 years old. Played SC2 since beta where I worked my way up from bronze to masters. I played protoss for a long time but have now switched entirely to zerg which I now prefer to play. I have taught 5 or 6 people who have gone up 1 league within a few hours of teaching.
Description of Coaching: I'd like to watch a replay of yours to see where you could use the most help. I could help with any type of playstyle you prefer as I try most of them. I prefer the "Waiting List" style of scheduling. This means that that I do not know exactly when I will be available so a waiting list of people will be made and when the first person on the list is on when I am and we both have time to do the lesson at that time, then that is when we will do it. If the person is not online but the 2nd person is, the 2nd person will be picked and the first one will stay at the top.
Name: Sagle.327
Race Coaching: Terran
Servers Available: USA
Personal Background:I am Sam 'Sagle' Helgl and I'm 20 years old. I have been playing terran since early in the beta where I starting out in silver league. I slowly worked my way to masters league after playing around two thousand 1v1 games. My play style typically includes me finding weaknesses in others play. Many would say I prefer 1 base play
Description of coaching: I am very good at refining builds and finding weaknesses in them. I can teach most all play styles. I prefer to have a replay to work with to have a point to start from. Name: zxyc.961
Race Coaching: Terran
Servers Available: USA
Personal Background: I am Ali 'zxyc' Nasar, and I am 21 years old. I currently live in Toronto, Canada. I've been playing Starcraft 2 ever since beta came out (a month in). I started playing broodwar when I was 10 years old. Around the age of 17 I started taking the game more seriously playing (iCCup) and my personal best rank was B protoss player.
Description of Coaching: I will start off with a replay of your play, ****yze your game and see where your strengths and weaknesses are. I will then explain in details what you can improve on and where efficiency can be improved. I prefer someone to message me on SC2 when i am online (feel free to add me) for lessons or booking lesson times then PMing me here (even thought you can feel free to PM me here too).

Fixed.
EDIT: I'm trying to make this thread a sticky but it's not working. Might be a bug but I'll see what I can do.
Thanks for providing this, hope it works out well. Good luck keeping up with it and with recruiting new teachers and students. I'll definitely sign up after this weekend when I have some time to play. Even though GM is new to Zerg I'm sure he knows a few things that can help both both strategically and tactically. Probably learn a ton on ZvP due to his knowledge on Protoss. If you guys struggle to get people I'll also ask you other guys so I can learn timings and such better as well (been using TechSix to teach myself through practice anyway).
Third Edit: Ok, I'll be the example of how this should be done.

Double edit: You guys should have people PM you if they're interested, I think it'll be easier to keep track.

I basically want to learn how to play the game properly. I feel comfortable executing all-in builds and playing long macro games. But, my ability to handle the common mid-game transitions based on the current metagame seems to be lacking. This may be in part to me taking several weeks off, but I just feel like I'm swinging wildly every time I queue up a ladder game as opposed to going into games with a proper mindset and solid build orders and transitions.
Edit: and there are already a bunch of useless posts. This will cause the coaches to have a considerably more difficult time wading through everything...
Esports Starcraft 2 needs more casual gamers. Most of my friends that are new to Starcraft play the campaign and then play against the AI. I tell them to jump into ladder but they're afraid of getting steamrolled by cannon rushes and such. We need to get these people to stray away from the fear and just jump right into the action because that is the best way to get better at the game.
No casual gamer is going to pay money to get better at a game. You're doing a good thing here guys. I have a ton of
I think as a community, we should come up with a curriculum to teach newer players the basics building up from previous skills. For example
Lesson 1: Camera Control
Lesson 2: Hotkeys
Lesson 3: Early game mechanics
Lesson 4: Cheese
etc etc, use your imagination
No casual gamer is going to pay money to get better at a game. You're doing a good thing here guys. I have a ton of Plat friends who are trying to improve at the game. I can't teach them anything except for Protoss and the basics like macro, worker production, etc.
I beg to differ. Just look at anything relating to VTMrBitter and you will see that he is constantly fully booked for coaching for which he charges. I agree that not everyone will want to pay for coaching but there are plenty who will.
ON TOPIC:
This will hopefully turn into a great thing and I wish I played enough to be helpful on the Zerg front. I will happily play with anyone on the EU server but I am currently only Diamond level and I am a pretty erratic, spontaneous player. If you need a decent-ish Zerg to play against a student, let me know.
I can see this becoming successful in the long term, and the three of you as Armory Coach staff members.

Updated =P
@xmaine: Too lazy? I even put in links right in the spoiler that direct you right to the PM box of the person. It makes it much easier for us to sort out which are applications for lessons and which are for becoming coaches. I will not accept any coaching requests if they are not PMed to either me, Green, or Sagle. I want to keep this organized.
@CrazyGitar: We're eventually going to need EU coaches since none of us (I don't think) have access to EU accounts. I'll update some more information in the OP to address that.

I have been having trouble judging when to push, and I need to learn to be more aggressive in general.
Diablo is for noobs who lack the skills to play Starcraft.
Okay enough people are ahead of me so that I feel like I have time to get ready.
